I love you

Re-posting a poem I wrote in January 2019:

the sun kisses the moon

with soft silver lipstick

and so i love you.

the night sky embraces the stars,

wrapping them in a velvet cloak

and so i love you.

the wind caresses the feathers of birds,

gently holding them aloft

and so i love you.

the rain nurtures the grass,

releasing a perfume of green

and so i love you.

the earth conspires with the sky

to each reveal the other’s magic,

and thus, and so,

i love you.
